CRADLES OF HOPE: Project for Educators
Encouraging the vibrant young minds of students in this country to engage with this pressing global issue - a situation affecting millions of their peers - is yet another goal of The Cradle Project. We are asking teachers and students throughout the country to organize the building of class cradles as part of our Cradles of Hope initiative.
The Cradle Project’s synthesis of analysis and creativity makes it a perfect tool for young students learning about global affairs. Because the context of The Cradle Project involves so many global issues (i.e. healthcare, education, children’s rights, poverty, racism, etc.) and because the building of cradles from scrap material stimulates limitless imagination, resourcefulness and personal expression, we believe that teachers and students alike will enjoy participating in our Cradles of Hope initiative.
The idea of transforming potential into actuality is fundamental to all aspects of The Cradle Project. From the 1,000 cradle installation in Albuquerque to the many participating classrooms across the Unites States, every participant in this project is committing to learn and to imagine, to connect themselves to the greater global population, and to transform hope into creativity and community awareness.
If you are an educator interested in participating in our Cradles of Hope initiative, or if you would like more information, please contact Naomi Natale at nnatale@cradleproject.org
